CMP/Barker JV choose AGD Rental for M25 widening contract

Sheet piling sub-contractors Commercial Marine & Piling/Kim Barker Construction Joint Venture were recently awarded a contract by Balfour Beatty/Skanska to install sheet piled walls on the M25 widening scheme in Hertfordshire.

AGD Rental were chosen to supply all of the telescopic crawler cranes for the contract plus some telescopic leader piling rigs to bolster CMP/Barkers fleets where necessary.

At the height of the programme AGD supplied a total of 8 units IHI telescopic crawler cranes and 2 units RTG telescopic leader piling rigs.

Pictured here is an RTG RG19T telescopic leader rig with MR125V03 125 tons resonance free variable moment vibrator, one of 2 units in our fleet which are the most powerful vibratory hammers available in the market. An IHI CCH500T 50 tons capacity telescopic crawler crane is being used to service the piling rig and is featured in the background.
