As a plant operator we are fully aware of the need to return damaged and unserviceable equipment to service in an efficient and cost effective manner in order to keep revenue loss to the absolute minimum. We can offer a full servicing including recover, repair, fabrication, repainting and recommissioning using skilled and well qualified personnel.

Our facilities have been specially built to accommodate our range of services and include fabrication and mechanical work shops, both with two overhead cranes, a paint preparation shop adjoining a modern paint booth which is big enough to take any size of plant or vehicle and able to finish equipment in either 2 pack or single pack coatings.

AGD Equipment have a state of the art, purpose built painting facility designed to handle all types and sizes of heavy construction equipment, piling equipment, commercial vehicles, crawler cranes and mobile cranes.

The AGD paint centre, based in Warwickshire in the heart of the West Midlands, utilises a fully compliant spray booth incorporating a drying oven that can produce fully-hardened 2 pack paint in just an hour with a built-in modern filtration system that ensures maximum efficiency with minimal pollution. We can also produce single pack finishes if required.

The temperature is controlled in the paint booth by a 1200 kw heating system. Paint is applied at a temperature of 20c and baked on at 60c for 60 minutes. Depending on size, two machines or vehicles can be painted at one time. 

The paint process uses a deep base prep-coat plus two or more full colours to produce the custom AGD look. After a cool-down period each machine is carefully cleaned and the masking paper removed.

Cleaning / Degreasing:  Thorough cleaning of each machine, using high pressure hot water and detergent cleaners, is a vital step.

Shot Blasting:  The shot blast method used by the AGD painting centre cleanly and efficiently strips each unit down to the bare metal.

Preparation for Painting:  Preparing each unit carefully for the painting operation is very important.

Paint Booth:  The 20 m long paint both at the AGD painting centre can be divided into two units.

Custom Decals:  Applying customised decals to the equipment enhances the final appearance and finishes the job professionally. The AGD painting centre can supply and fit decals as required.

Final Inspection:  Each machine is given a final inspection by the AGD painting centre manager to check for quality before handover to the customer.
