The latest addition to our fleet - another brand new Giken F201 silent piler. This machine has 150 tons of pressing force and is suitable for installing 600 mm wide U profile sheet piles. We have invested heavily in new equipment this year, including 4 units of the very latest model RTG telescopic leader rigs. These machines sport some excellent features including the patented ACS (automatic coupling system) which reduces time considerably when switching from attachments, i.e. vibro to rotary head. It also avoids the need for working at height.

Each of the three models we have purchased (RG16T, RG19T and RG21T) are equipped with the largest vibro available, the MR150AVN, This 150 tons vibro has the ability to change mode according to the soil conditions. Powered by the 563 kw Caterpillar C18 engine these rigs really are the most powerful in their class.

Other attachments available to work with these machines include MPU / MPZ sheet pile press. MB100 10 ton metre torque rotary head for CFA piling or pre-augering and DKS 50/100 twin rotary head for secant piling or soil mixing.

Each rig has a Bauer B-Tronic computer on board with SIM card which facilitates fast downloading of pile data and also alerts us to any faults, thus keeping downtime to a minimum.

Pictured here is one of our new 80 tons capacity Sennebogen 680HD crawler cranes on hire to JN Piling in Oxfordshire. The machine has been carrying out sheet pile extraction duties with a vibratory hammer and excavation duties with a clamshell grab. The hydraulic high-rise operators cab was especially useful for the grab work. This is just one of a host of new Sennebogen lattice boom crawler cranes to enter our hire fleet in the 50, 80 and 100 tons class.

Marchetti Sherpa, 70 tons telescopic crawler crane on hire as a service crane to a telescopic leader rig for Ivor King Piling on the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road in Abergavenny. You will note this one is sporting its famous pink livery, as this is the machine that we donate a percentage of its income every year to Cancer Research in memory of one of our founders.

One of our brand new Sennebogen 643R, 40 tons capacity telescopic crawler cranes on hire to Green Piling at Rugby, Warwickshire. The machine is being used as a service crane for a CFA piling rig installing piles for a bridge abutment.

Brand new Llamada P105TT CFA piling rig on its way from the factory in Barcelona, Spain to GM Piling in Norfolk. This machine can drill 1000 mm diameter piles to 24 m depth in a single stroke without any extension. The design of the star auger cleaner assists this as no drilling depth is lost. This machine is also equipped with a hydraulic mast folding device. Click here to see a video of it being demonstrated.

A Giken GRB system has just sucessfully installed a 200 linear metre wall of 7 m long U profile sheet piles at Highgate no 1 pond, on Hampstead Heath, Camden, London for CMP-Barker. The equipment comprised a brand new Giken F301 silent piler recently supplied to Ivor King Piling for installing the piles silently and without vibration, along with a Giken CB2-5, 7 tons clamp crane for pitching the piles. In addition a Giken TB3 pile runner was used to deliver the piles to the clamp crane in severely restricted access. We also supplied a 50 tons telescopic crawler crane for unloading piles from delivery lorries and for loading them on to the pile runner. Once the piles were installed the Giken F301 then "walked back" to the start of the pile line using a Giken AM78 walk back device. As you can see from the photos there was very little space, issues with trees and no opportunity to use a conventional crane to distribute and pitch the piles making the Giken GRB system eminently suitable for the job.

Our pink Marchetti Sherpa 70 tons telescopic crawler crane has been busy raising money for Cancer Research again. Another £10,000 donated this year. This time it is photographed working for J Murphy & Sons at Leamington Spa, Warwickshire helping with a landslip alongside the railway line.
