Oxfordshire based Fussey Piling have just taken delivery of a brand new RTG RG16T telescopic leader rig as part of a deal for 2 units. This is the 3rd batch of 2 x RTG rigs for Fussey Piling. The first 2 units were supplied in 2001 and the 2nd two in 2006. Firm proof that Fussey have enjoyed excellent service from the product and AGD as the dealer providing full product support over this extended period.

These machines have been supplied with the latest 150 tons vibratory hammers. The MR150V coupled with the Cat C18 570 kw engine making the RTG the most powerful telescopic leader rig on the market in its class.

Vertikal Days has moved to Silverstone Race Circuit this year, and once again AGD will be there. This time on stand number 600 with a Marchetti Sherpina, 25 tons capacity telescopic crawler crane and a Sennebogen 643R, 40 tons capacity telescopic crawler crane on display.

We've recently delivered the 5th new Giken silent piler to King Piling of Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Having bought their first Giken ECO700S in 2012 their fleet has now expanded to include 3 units of the latest model F301 silent piler and 2 units of the ECO700S models, 3 of which are equipped with super crush equipment. Making them the only owner of super crush pilers in the UK and the largest in Europe.

These versatile machines can install U profile sheet piles from 600-750 mm wide and Z profile sheet piles from 508-700 mm wide in all types of soil conditions. Pictured here is one of their ECO700S super crush pilers installing 12 m long PU32 sheet piles through rock with a strength of up to 90mpa near Abergavenny in south Wales for Costain Civil Engineering. Two of these units were deployed for a period of 6 months to install a sheet piled wall in the most onerous ground conditions you could expect to find with complete success.

Our Movax SG45 side grip vibrator mounted on 25 tons zero swing radius Hyundai excavator recently helped to overcome a very challenging contract in Leeds, West Yorkshire for JN Piling. The last minute job required some 6 m sheet piles to be installed into mudstone to form a retaining wall and there was no access for a leader rig which would have been the ideal choice for these soil conditions. We mobilised the Movax and excavator on a step frame low loader to minimise the access issues, pitched the sheets with the vibrator and then used our Pajot 1400 air hammer to drive them down to level.

All in all a job well done with a satisifed client and specialist sub-contractor.

We are proud to be associated with the relocation of Halley Research Station in the south Pole, by way of supplying 2 brand new Sennebogen 643R, 40 tons telescopic crawler cranes to the British Antarctic Survey for the project. The cranes were prepared especially for the antarctic weather including the engines being set up to run on aircraft fuel. Full details of this exciting project can be read here.

We have invested heavily in new equipment this year, including 4 units of the very latest model RTG telescopic leader rigs. These machines sport some excellent features including the patented ACS (automatic coupling system) which reduces time considerably when switching from attachments, i.e. vibro to rotary head. It also avoids the need for working at height.

Each of the three models we have purchased (RG16T, RG19T and RG21T) are equipped with the largest vibro available, the MR150AVN, This 150 tons vibro has the ability to change mode according to the soil conditions. Powered by the 563 kw Caterpillar C18 engine these rigs really are the most powerful in their class.

Other attachments available to work with these machines include MPU / MPZ sheet pile press. MB100 10 ton metre torque rotary head for CFA piling or pre-augering and DKS 50/100 twin rotary head for secant piling or soil mixing.

Each rig has a Bauer B-Tronic computer on board with SIM card which facilitates fast downloading of pile data and also alerts us to any faults, thus keeping downtime to a minimum.

Pictured here is one of our new 80 tons capacity Sennebogen 680HD crawler cranes on hire to JN Piling in Oxfordshire. The machine has been carrying out sheet pile extraction duties with a vibratory hammer and excavation duties with a clamshell grab. The hydraulic high-rise operators cab was especially useful for the grab work. This is just one of a host of new Sennebogen lattice boom crawler cranes to enter our hire fleet in the 50, 80 and 100 tons class.
